This gentle, fortnightly 4-session Yin Yoga for Trauma series - offered in place of Release and Nourish this month - is designed as a supportive and trauma-sensitive introduction to Yin yoga. Through slow, supported postures and guided awareness, participants are invited to reconnect with their bodies in a way that feels safe, choice-led, and empowering.
Trauma-informed Yin yoga recognises that experiences of stress and trauma can be held in the body. This approach prioritises safety, consent, and nervous system awareness, supporting you to move at your own pace and make choices that feel right for you.
Each session will begin with a simple orienting practice, followed by gentle, slow movement to help ease into the body, before moving into longer-held Yin shapes. Within this, stillness is offered as an invitation—something that can feel deeply supportive, and at times a little challenging—always approached with choice and flexibility.
